Nike has already joined in on the animal print movement that’s been sweeping through sneaker brands, as classic models and more contemporary offerings have recently adopted the trend. One shoe that hadn’t joined the herd yet is also one of Nike’s hottest shoes of the moment, but that’s soon due to change with a trip to the farm and beyond. The Nike Air Max 95 “Cow Print” does away with the upper’s mesh panel and one of its signature wavy stripes in favor of a large swatch of pony hair with a brown and white bovine pattern. Neutral tones are maintained throughout the rest of the sneaker, as are more standard materials for a suede toe tip and the leather stripe directly beneath the cow print. But more exotic materials are to be found as the stripes continue, with one each in crocodile- and snakeskin-textured leathers. Completing the rendition is an always-welcomed gum outsole. Pony hair printed with different animal patterns has become a recurring motif across the sneaker landscape from 2025 through to now, most prominently appearing at Nike via the Air Force 1 Low with renditions including leopard and cow prints.
